BBC TV Chef Set to Bring his Culinary Talents to Guildford College

The catering department at Guildford College are delighted to welcome popular BBC TV chef Galton Blackiston to its kitchens on 24 February 2016. Galton, who owns one of Britain’s leading country hotels, Morston Hall in Norfolk, will be giving a demonstration to student chefs and working with them to create a gourmet dinner menu which will be served to customers of the Park Room Restaurant later that evening.

Celebrity Chef Atul Kochhar Cooks with Guildford College Students

Celebrity chef Atul Kochhar visited Guildford College this week to give a unique cookery demonstration and provide lunch for a select audience, helped by Catering and Hospitality students.

A regular on television shows including Masterchef Goes Large and Great British Menu, Atul has two Michelin stars and was the first Indian chef in the country to receive this honour. He shared his love of his native Indian cuisine by cooking a range of dishes including Chicken Tandoori, Meen Moilee (seabass) and Tawa Prawns.

Recipe for Health with Star Chef Antony Worral Thompson

Celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson dished up tasty treats to an audience of 70 people at Guildford College with student chefs and catering tutors assisting him. The event was part of the local British Science Festival. Antony cooked three recipes from The Prostate Care Cookbook, recently written by Professor Margaret Rayman of the University of Surrey with Kay Gibbons and Kay Dilley, to help tackle prostate cancer.
